The current Waterdown Library occupies 3,400 square feet of space on 2 floors. The new Waterdown Library will be at least five times as large and occupy a single floor. It will be completely accessible.

The new library will have:

·         A larger collection of materials, including display space and more multi-media material

·         A “living room” reading area with a fireplace 

·         Group study space for students

·         More public access computers,

·         A computer “lab” for workshops

·         Programming space for both library activities and community events,

·         Casual seating areas that are wifi enabled

·         More parking

·         Free parking

It will also house Flamborough Information and Community Services and the Flamborough Archives.
